It might be time to shut the corner down.
Sure, the silent majority wants poor old Gunnar to keep hope alive.
But that seems like work.
Gunnar is about having fun.
It is baseball time and with that Gunnar say "later gators".

Gunnar,

Dear DirecTV (the true fans of Gunnar's Corner).
You need to bring back some comics that can riff with Artie.
There must be someone other than Bob Levy to tap.
Gunnar suggests Robert Wuhl (not a comic but a talent) or Colin Quinn (knows nothing about sports and probably too much of a Nick Dip. fan) but Gunnar's fav.
Even Dave Atell would be nice.
Poor old Gunnar signing out.
Peace,
I am not in this world to live up to my expectations
All Gunnar knows, as far as N&A/A show is concerned, is that I deleted all the Artie Shows on DirecTV DVR and podcasts.
Gunnar is now back to listening to old N&A shows on podcasts. Started with late Oct. 2011 and now well into Nov. 2011.
True belly laughs on 11-02-11. Listen to it an see if you do not laugh out loud.
Still a big Artie fan, but I am going to pass on the "stover" series and other bland, mid-west non-comics that can not manage a show with and riff with Artie.
Later haters (I know you read this thread the most).
Suck a big one.
Gunnar,

News Break (FAKE):
Wes Walker and Joe Falco to AZ Cardinals.

See you in Gunnar's dreams (and the SuperBowl).

Man Gunnar is having some issues with that smarty smartpants guy.
I keep getting, illiterate, semi-retarded messages from the guy.
He keeps wanting to be promoted to Sargent in Gunnar's Army.
Damn you Smarty Smartpants, damn you!
If I could get 1 more person to join the G-Army I would promote them to SGT and take Smarty down to buck-private.

Well another day of Gunnar being Gunnar.
Wake up, cup of java on the back patio.
Sunrise in the desert.
Look up at the mountains.
Hear the coyotes howl.
A red tail hawk flies by.
Plug in some old Nick and Artie
Sip some more coffee
and be Gunnar for another day.
I am not in this world to live up to my expectations
listening to Nils Lofgren (live Grin album recorded in 1975 I think).
yeah, you know it!
Living the Gunnar Life,
Ta-da-da-da-daa-dah
I wonder what TfC, KiB, Gonzo, and all the other "orignal gansta" N&A callers are doing today?
Gunnar,
Rockin in the Real World.
I am not in this world to live up to my expectations
Gunnar thoughts:
1. Artie is a real talent.
2. Artie needs someone, like Nick Dip., to work off of.
3. Whatever happened to make Nick leave, you TV guys figure out how to bring him back.
4. Or make sure you find someone like Nick.
5. But who is out there (a comic) with the quick wit and enough of a sports focus like Nick?
6. You TV fucks start listening to some of the old N&A shows, especially when they were really "on".
7. Pay Nick and Artie more money.
8. Work them less. 15 (or 10-11) hours on-air each week, months without a break, is too much for these guys.
9. Put Dan in his own place, physically on the show. He is that important. More opportunities for N&A to riff on him.
10. Mike Bocchetti. No comment on talent, or artistic direction of show, except give N&A free reign (with minimal guidance from above).
11. Rod from Bayside (RfB) needs to rethink not being willing to take on the job of answering phones for N&A/A (he posted that here once).
12. it will give you a chance to grow into the show. Listen to any feedback, about the profession, you get from Artie.
13. keep one of your (two) day jobs for a while. stay in school and finish the fuck up someday.
14. Nick is not coming back.
15. I hope these DirecTV guys can figure it out (talk to Artie, Nick, people in their life).

I am not in this world to live up to my expectations
Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick Nick, Nick
DIPALO!
Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick Nick, Nick
DIPALO!
Every one chant it.
Especially you Smarty Smart-ass.
I am not in this world to live up to my expectations

I may be wrong but does that make you right?
Gunnar thinks not, only TelegramSam is always right (and the true defender of internet message boards).
I was just thinking back to Nick being the one who mentioned Colin calling him every time Baker's Dozen movie was on, Nick sleeping on Colin's couch, etc.
Gunnar (that's me!) hopes there is no divide between Nick and Artie, let alone their NYC comic inner circle.
Gunnar, that's me!, out.
