protective? didnt you brag about how you proudly leave your door unlocked even after you found some disoriented dude inside your house?

But that is terrible for your friends, thats awful.

I will NEVER understand why I'm still alive, but these young boys died.
    Right??!

We used to go "back-roading" for fun... just all get in our cars and drive winding back roads as fast as we possibly could and try to keep up with each other. Some of us were usually high or had been drinking or whatever. Most kids do that kinda shit. Or play chicken with trains or jump off cliffs or experiment with drugs, etc, etc. And most make it to adulthood virtually unscathed. But some don't. And they weren't doing anything the rest of us haven't done... it's a shame.

It's seems really random too. It's not like it's the mean people that die. I'm thinking karma is bs when I hear about these kinds of things.

My sister's best friend was about to attend Villanova on a scholarship for football. He was a starter on the varsity team in HS as a sophomore. He started on the baseball team too. Very talented, well-loved, very popular, and for good reason- he was polite, sweet, friendly and had a big heart. The line to get into his funeral was around the block and people waited hours to pay their respects.

It's shit like this that makes me kinda wish I was religious or believed in some kind of divine plan... "God needed him for something important".
But unfortunately I don't have that consolation.
