DAMAGE INC. was always a favorite but to be honest everything before the black piece of shit was great.
I'm sure this is not the popular opinion but I liked quite a few tunes post-Black Album. Outlaw Torn, Fuel, and most of Death Magnetic. It's not the same as the older stuff but I enjoy it for different reasons. I've seen pretty much every local show since "Ride" and they always put on a fantastic concert.
I do, however, like The Day That Never Comes from Death Magnetic.
Wow nobody posted the one of the obvious songs.
Being a white thrash kid in the midwest Metallica was like a god.
I know I said creeping death before but when I saw them live before the black album they played this and 30,000 people threw their horns up and chanted "die" at the breakdown.(Metallica stretched it out to make it more badasser) It was the most metal moment of my life
I remember the first time I heard this and I was like " oh hetfield down riff! Where did you go, never leave me again"
Nothing, unless they have a song called nothing in which case I would change my answer.
Howard is a Vomit.
