I do enjoy when Jay tells old stories of his family or co-workers. Maybe just because they seem almost truthful and I haven't heard them many times, like Howard's stories.

I have caught him retelling some stories but remarkably they don't change like someone else's stories we know. Even the retold stories are still funny!

I like Jay a lot, he just suffers from a low budget. No offense, but Garret isn't getting hired as a morning drive sidekick when Jay retires/SiriusXM is re-purposed, unless it's a gay porn show focused on money shots. The one thing I love about Jay is that he will fuck with his only decent guests, and then be super nice to some guy who made a big foot documentary in his basement.

As I recall, Jay said that they didn't have the budget to pay him whatever fee he used to get, and also because he has had some health problems and development deals in the past couple of years.
