Who knows if any of that is true? He says he was in the basement but Ralph was bringing him condoms during the filming of his disappointing movie so why not before that. There is a reason Ralphie cakes is still on the payroll.

As for his kids, Howard abandoned the youngest one when he left to move into Manhattan 5 miles away, so she probably is the most damaged by it so would have the most hate.

I read Robin's book and apparently she had a habit of getting into fights in the office, and then calling Howard at home begging forgiveness. Maybe the daughter got sick of her infringing on their family life? (although it doesn't sound like they had much of one, but that's another story)
