IMHO the best picture of 2012 was "Cloud Atlas." Brilliant script, original screenplay, trippy and interesting movie. Makes watching "Argo" like watching a PBS documentary.

that was a real good movie.....hard to understand til the end...but it makes you keep watching even if you dont get it

I am raising my head from my flu sickbed to comment....I can't either. I thought he was a shoo-in not just for nomination, but he was strongly favored to WIN. I am pretty shocked.

The SAG awards are very good predictors. I fucking love awards season. I love it. I love the red carpet. Even my husband loves the red carpet, but less so when the women are not wearing low-cut dresses.

Cloud Atlas was amazing.. A mind fuck like the first Matrix.. I loved the uber sexy "fabricants" in New Seoul.. And the scene where Felix Finch does "you know what" to that book critic at the party. Hilarious.

I dunno about Lincoln getting Best Picture. Personally I'd like that choice but ya know damn well some artsy fartsy shit no one saw will win like they seemingly always do.

As for the flu... Just smoke through it. I dunno about you but when I got some pot in my system I never throw up and any cramps I have go away. Then again I can count the times I've been sick enough to throw up on one hand and 1 of those was booze related and another from eating too many Junior Mints when I was kid, lol.
