Lemme tell ya about the "Oscars." The Oscars is an invention by Hollywood to rebrand an old product. Like "Classic Coke" simply is a rebrand of Coke. What the Hollywood bosses decided to do back in1929 is to create a vehicle to get people back into the theater and see movies. So they invented an award called the Oscar.

Basically it goes like this, "It won an Oscar and I didn't see it so it must be good.. Let's go see it." Its how Hollywood sucks people back into the theater in order to generate more life (see:$$$) out of a product, (see: movie)

Nobody remembers what movie won best picture 2 or 3 years ago.. Let alone who won Best Actor.. Its all a big scam that works like a charm.

IMHO the best picture of 2012 was "Cloud Atlas." Brilliant script, original screenplay, trippy and interesting movie. Makes watching "Argo" like watching a PBS documentary.
