Why not take a chemo and hope for the best? Or is it really that bad...
It's a death sentence. Chemo makes it worse for almost everyone. It's what Sam Kinison's old friend Bill Hicks died of. I work on Game of Thrones for HBO, his character will be around for a lot of seasons in the future if they follow the books. Will be interesting to see if they change the story for the show. Personally I'd say that they should kill him on the show if he wants it and retire the character from the show in honor of him.
This happened with the Harry Potter films. The actor who played Dumbledore, a main character, died. So they had to replace him and they used a guy who was literally nothing like the original. Same thing with The Matrix, the woman who played the oracle died, and they recast her but then rewrote the story to explain her appearance being different. It was fucking weird as hell.
That's horrible, at least he lived to his 60's, still a young age to die though.

I hear cooking meth instantly cures all cancer...
Chemo may buy him a few months, or even a few years as it did for Steve Jobs, but those months will be agonizing for him.
Damn, that sucks.
My name is Cheryl and I'm your daughter.
They already replaced the actor who plays Gregor Clegane and he's not even dead. I hate to sound like a ghoul, but replacing Ilyn Payne shouldn't be a big dead. He's a bald minor character that doesn't talk.
Man, it's crazy to think that the guy in this vid basically personifies death on the show.

One of the worse kinds of cancer. My grandmother had it. Diagnosed in June..died in October the same year.
Steve Jobs had a rare type that is sometimes curable. He chose the alternative therapy route and by the time he got proper treatment it was too late.
"preparing for the end of his life." What a horrible thought.![]()

Actually, off hand, I don't remember his role in the series??

pancreatic is the worst. once they find it, it's basically too late to do anything. good for him, going out like that. if it's a choice of having a few good months vs. more painful months, not sure if i wouldn't do the same thing. must be weird seeing one of his last shows - watching a dead man on stage.
