You would at the end of the day Honestly be better of with a netbook like me. Does all the basic Tasks and more than any tablet. plus you can type esaiar on it and do not have to phone mode when you are typing here and The most important thing....you can download torrents. Btw I do own a tablet now and thats why I am here to say they are not really all what they are cracked up to be.

Wrong. With a netbook you're just fooling yourself. It doesn't have the horsepower to run apps like office, quickbooks, etc. Fire up a video and try to surf the web on a netbook and enjoy stuttering video.

My iPad does the single task I want super duper. I can easily check my email, surf the web, run the certified apps and etc. On the train, I can open my iPad instead of waiting for my netbook to power up. As an adult, the netbook keyboards suck dick, and so try and type a report on them. Yes, it has a keyboard, but my iPad case has a built in Bluetooth keyboard, so I can 45 it and take notes like a baller. Oh, and don't lose your wireless dongle or else your gonna have to stop in Starbucks to get data ( unless you buy a laptop with the cell embedded, but not many netbooks have them )

I have an acer netbook that I'm considering giving to the dog, cause he would get as much productivity out of it as I.

never had an issue with suttering video. I a running the lastest versions of everything on here have itunes Torrents and Vlc media player can even use gimp. You must have a really old one and I can do all that and more with your Ipad for half the price.

Gimp. Have you considered moving to something slightly more powerful, like say mspaint ?

Kidding aside, it's maybe a year old, and has was a lower end one. But I found that running lotus notes, office, some other small apps, anti virus and then a video was hurting it. iPad does what you expect. I can gotomypc at work on my iPad. Bam.

I love it. I got it last night the 13" with the retina display and sold my ipad3. I still have an ipad for work though
but I don't own it. I have a Kindle Fire HD on my nightstand

Yeah, I use my laptop for almost everything. It's super tiny, so it's not cumbersome at all. It's not a netbook either, so it has PLENTY of power for everything. Expensive as hell! I think my 6 year old likes using the iPad more than I do.

I've never bothered setting that up. I have the DirecTv app installed as well as the Sunday Ticket, but since I hold the remote anyways, I didn't see the need to set that up.

I am pissed that I can't get my phone to record shit though!

Dell Latitude I think? I've had it forever, so I'm not really sure. I'm supposed to get a new one in a couple of months, but really don't want to. It still works great.
