Just for fun, I thought I'd throw this out. Since we know that the N&A show is getting re-tooled, seemingly without Rick, do you think any current Stern staffer sees the writing on the wall and would leave? And if so, who would you want?

They've all seen what Artie's capable of and they're familiar with his behavioral patterns. I don't think anyone would risk it. Working for an embarrassing shell of a formerly great show is the lesser of two evils here.
Imagine Artie, Sal & Richard show. That would become a #1 show overnight (to me at least).
That would be my choice too, the problem being that I think Sal loves Howard too much to ever leave him, and because there seemed to be a lot of bad blood between Artie and Sal after the whole wishing AIDS on his kids thing. But hey, we can always hope! I also wouldn't mind an Artie & Jackie Show, just to see how that dynamic would play out, but Jackie's just too old for anyone to hire him for a major FM show now.
hmm. Good question. Whoever did such a thing would be risking quite a lot. I can't see any current staff person doing such a thing. Maybe Langford though![]()
Sure, they all seem like such ambitious risk-takers.

Why would N&A want any one of those losers left at the channels?
The Howard Stern show sucks for a reason - mostly Howard's fault - and it's the people who create the content.
Sal and Richard would be the obvious choice and Sal showed some real promise with "The Show in the Hall" and some of his roast stuff but their act has gotten lamer as they've gotten older.
Can you imagine if Jackie joined Artie???
Howard would lose it.
My comments are based on my opinion only.
