Howard will have a nervous breakdown. He'll go completely bat-shit crazy when she dies.

He's never grown up. He's gone from one "Mommy" to the next. First his mother, then Alison and now Beth. He needs someone to hold his hand at all times.

Remember how he reacted a few years ago when his mother came to his house in the Hamptons and she slipped on some steps? He said he cradled her in his arms and cried!

Jeeze!---what a baby! She was just fine but Howard just couldn't and still can't think of the world without his mommy.

Whether it be Ben or Rae who goes first, this will be the first time in Howard's life that he will know real pain. Not even the pain of a divorce. Or losing a lawsuit. Or his dog dying. But the death of a parent.
He has no idea how lucky he is to have had them in his life for so long, up to now.

in the next few years beth will leave him, his parents will die and he will be without a TV/radio offer that he is willing to take. he will then lock himself in a room where he talks into vintage mics in his parents' voices. he will starve to death after going through his stockpile of nuts and dried fruit. as there is no one left who wants to be around him, he won't be found for 3 years when emily pays a visit. the 3 girls were talking and realized that none of them were given rae's wedding dress as per her will. howard is found dead wearing it.
