I've had a copy of hr3162 since it was in final draft.

apparently you haven't read it.

nowhere in it does it say that merely stating your opinion that the 2nd amendment of the bill of rights should be modified constitutes in any way shape or form an act of terrorism such that any of the provisions provided in hr3162 apply. the proof of this is that no charges were filed against Piers Morgan or his employers. it does provide for Piers to file a claim for damages under sect 2712.

They've done nothing but trample it since '09 using executive orders to break the law. Now they're threatening to do the same thing with the debt ceiling and gun control.

If I were a democrat I would be extremely worried about this. A lot of the positions that any administration (democrat and republican) takes is based on precedent. Once an administration proves they have a certain power future administrations NEVER concede it. Democrats aren't going to be in the white house forever. When a republican takes over you better damn well believe they are going to exercise the same posture as it relates to the use of executive powers to get around congress and the law.

I'm not sure if they still do Mr PM there, but when they did it was televised and the population was permitted to petition the PM on practically any subject. How he replied was more important than what position he took. When i watched it was the best reality TV I've ever seen.
