The Tonight Show got 1.084 million in the Adults 18-49 demographic compared to Jimmy Kimmel Live’s 887,000.

The difference is only 200k. IMO, Kimmel already won. He pulled in huge numbers and took viewers from both Leno & Letterman. He can only go up from here.

Kimmel will be a force to contend with in late night for years to come. The other two hosts are losing audience.

I recorded it. He was talking to Jennifer Aniston about how he was invited to stay at her home in Cabo. She showed pictures of her spa day when "the boys" of the group were treated to manicures/pedicures. Howard was not in the group of "the boys", nor was he even mentioned as being there. I'm sure Beth was dying to get her hooves into the invite form Aniston. She made him go to Mexico for the holidays only to have her "BFF", Molly hang out with Jen Aniston.

If there are 3.1 million total viewers but only 0.9 million in the 18-49 demo and assuming children under 18 are in bed because it's a school night, that means there are 2.2 million old people staying up to watch Kimmel. That statistic doesn't sound right as 71% of Kimmel's viewers are Old fogeys.

I want to know what Howard REALLY thinks about Jimmy doing some of his bits on his late night show... like Sal and Richard's asking street people their opinion about stuff that didn't happen??

Apparently Jimmy figured out that constantly kissing Howard's ass allows you to get away with stuff he criticizes other people for. I don't think the ratings are that good for Jimmy. He was bound to get a boost due to all the extra publicity, some high-profile guests for the opening week, and the curiousity factor. The fact that his ratings weren't higher doesn't bode well because they usually drop after the novelty wears off. It's likely he'll be back below Leno and Letterman in a few weeks.
