i still have never listened to alot of old classics people rave about, i didn't get into rap till alternative died out completely in 96 and didnt start with rap till 98

i missed out on alot of wutang weside connection early dre and snoop dog NWA etc.

its like im saving it for a rainy day

but i became fascinated with rap when hearing wu-tang songs played by my cousins, i loved the instrumentals especially

wish i gave up alternative earlier

    I disagree.
Maybe being an L.A. kid made me go in the opposite direction of what everyone around me was doing and listening to, but I always held East Coast hip hop in higher regard.

But seriously, I haven't been into rap much in the last 20 years but back in my day, East coast was more hard beats, scratching, drum machines and rapping about black stuff. West coast was more funk samples and gangsta lyrics.
