I'm totally looking for a generalized stereotype here. In my life, the further right they are the stupider they seem. And not about politics or anything like that. Just basic common sense. I have stories for days but I think we all know what I'm saying.

You could not be more wrong. I'm a republican. My core beliefs follow republican thinking. Smaller govt, self sufficient, but the problem is the republicans no longer believe their beliefs. They are pissing all over you and telling you it's raining - and 99% of the followers lick it up. It's sad to me that people can be so blind. Really, my union beliefs are sorta to protect the dummies from themselves. I've always been raised to care about my fellow man.
