I just got into Skyrim and I have a question. It is taking me forever to level up. I am at level 12 right now and I can't go on a couple of the quests because I keep getting my ass killed. Is there an easier way to level up? I have three dragon shouts and a couple of destruction spells but I am still at a novice on those.
you just have to choose your battles wisely and take someone with you to fight alongside. there are people in the bars around towns that sit there. talk to the ones that have battle gear on. usually they challenge you to a fist fight. it's pretty easy to whip them, then they will fight alongside you. much easier to do quests. oh, and don't ask daveindiego anything about skyrim, he sucks.
also, do this quest for the sanguine rose: http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/S..._Rose_(Skyrim)
Ok, now it makes more sense. I thought I had to do the major quests as they came along. I have about 12 minor quests to do now. What class are you? I chose a Nord but am able to cast spells and I found a Sanctified Orc Warhammer that really kicks ass but I can't block anything.
nord, level 61 or 62. i carry a one-handed weapon and a shield. i don't really like two-handed weapons for the most part. a few more suggestions:
1. you should increase your smitthing so you make better weapons and armor. to do this, go to whiterun. but iron ingots and leather strips and leather to make iron daggers and bracers. when you make them, your smithing will go up. then sell them to the blacksmiths there. wait a few days, and repeat the process. it is tedious and takes time, but you can get your smithing to 100 and start making kick ass armor like dragon or daedric. this armor is really invincible to most things except for fire and shock (from good mages). also, you should go to whiterun and start doing quests with the companions.
Im still level 1. My Xbox sounds like its going to blow up.
