That's what I would like to do, but customer service says the computer is tied to the radio. Do you know if this is true and can I just get the online subscription and how much should that be?

You should be able to get just the online subscription and I believe that costs around $35-$40 for the year. Ask to speak to a supervisor next time you call and they will transfer you to someone in the USA.

You can cancel your radios and just get the Internet sub for 14.49*/month that is not "tied to the radio". This also includes O&A and the other BOXM channels.

I went through this recently. I had to cancel one radio, but it was connected to my internet account, so I had to go to a supervisor to turn off the one radio and switch the account to my car radio. The billing is very weird.

To get the best deal, I always called and told them I don't use it so please shut down the account. They'll offer 3 free months. Say no thanks. Wait for the third offer, which should be a total of $9 per month.

I bought the life-time deal in late '05 and have subsequently purchased 3 of their shitty hardware, but I personally wouldnt drop another cent and anything siri/plugggy related...

The thing is sometimes they don't even bother to turn off your radio. I canceled, but my radio kept right on working for a few more months until it broke....
