I started on Monday, 10/1/12.
Measurements; 10/1/12:
Height: 6' 0"
Weight: 207 lb
Goal: 185 lb
Weight; 10/3/12 at 8:45: 203
The 4 lbs is mostly shit I imagine.

I'll try to weigh myself at basically the same time of the day. There are daily fluctuations that mess with the "real" number.
How I'm doing it is for the next 2 weeks (now only 12 days) is to replace all my regular meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) with Spiru-Tein meal replacements. You can find them at GNC. They have a ton of vitamins and protein in them (100% of your daily recommendations for almost all of them listed in one serving). Each serving, because I use whole milk and a tall glass full, is around 300 calories. For an evening snack I allow myself a 12 oz bag of steamed vegetables. In tonight's case, a 12 oz package of Brussels sprouts. That is 4 servings at 45 calories a serving coming to 180 calories.
So, right now I'm at about 1080 calories a day.
After 2 weeks I start to come off the diet a little bit and make a vegetable soup, allow myself a dinner with bulgar wheat or brown rice on the side, etc. When I get there, I'll let you know what I'm doing.
Until then, I'm in the miserable zone of three meal replacements with steamed veggies.
Oh, I also spray the veggies with no-cal butter spray. It helps.

Oh yeah, and no booze. None whatsoever. I do allow myself caffeinated coffee. Black.
It helps with metabolism and also gives me something "bad" I can drink.
An club soda with a splash of bitters.

As far as the wine goes, I wonder if you can get a nice juice, an organic one with fresh fruit, that would quell the wine cravings.
Another thing, I don't recommend my diet for women. I wrestled in hs and learned how to cut weight there and believe males have bodies that can accommodate rapid weight-loss more easily. Remember, women naturally have a higher fat ratio than men.

This stuff sounds soooooo good:

I tried Xantax-3 (those blue pills) but they made me feel SO SICK and made me EAT LIKE CRAZY. Threw those out!!!!
The pills scare me because previous pills have been linked to a lot of bad shit. Remember that fen-phen shit?
I want to lose weight but would rather not be left with a fit body but a bad ticker.
Shit, you only have 10 lbs to take off. You should be able to have that off in a month if you do an all meal replacement with veggie snacks at night for 2 weeks and another 2 weeks of 2 shakes a day and a reasonable dinner along with walks.
And no booze. You can't have booze, dammit!

Stay away from those pills that promise miracles with no work. Intellectually, we all know that just can't happen. Just eat a little better and a little less and do moderate exercise, you'll get there. Anyway, it is getting towards winter now, so you can transform under a sweatshirt anyway, unless you are going on a vacation or something.
I'm just trying to say you have time to do it right, even if it is a little slower.
Congrts to you both for taking the challenge and I know you'll do it!![]()
A train leaving every night..
