exactly. Mom needed a new computer last year. All she does with it is play simple games, FB and email. Bought her a tablet instead. Works perfect for her uses. There are some really nice high end, blazing fast laptops out there for big bucks. A waste if all you do is watch porn and browse the internet.

I used to look for expandability. Stuff like slots for more RAM and the ability to upgrade the processor in the future. Now?

You can get a pretty sweet fucking desktop for cheap. And I'm done with laptops at this point what with the tablets and smart-phones. Taking notes on a laptop is distracting for me because with WiFi everywhere, I can't help but get on the net.

well first because apples don't cost > $2000 unless you get the top of the line. second, because it works. all windows machines run well the first few weeks.
