She used the knife from the set her mommy gave her, it looks like mommy figured she might hurt herself one day seeking attention!

you need to post a good pic of her in a thread like this, so i know whether to care or not.
"If my wife started going to a bereavement counselor, I'd throw her out." Howard referring to Nancy's grieving of Timmy the cat.

She doesn't really want to die. If she did, a kitchen knife with a nice blade could slit her throat, no problemo.

    It's a "cry" for help. . . . or really, attention.

Women are such pikers when it comes to suicide. They "attempt" 4 times as much as men but men succeed 4 times as much as women.

In other words, women are drama queens.

Not true. Men choose much more violent means (gun, knives, etc.) while women are more likely to choose pills which can be successfully counteracted in an E.R.

    Ahem.

Women don't choose violent means because they don't want to succeed. Men choose more violent means because they actually want to commit suicide. In general.

It's like Artie with the stab-wounds. He knew his ma was coming over later, didn't plunge THAT deep, etc. Recently he's admitted he didn't really want to kill himself.

While we can debate (until the cows come home) people's reasons for their attempts to commit suicide, I don't know that we can make such generalizations like "they don't want to commit suicide." I don't know that to be true.

That's one thing that keeps me from committing suicide. What if I fail? I mean, that would just be typical and then - having everyone know that you messed that up, too?

worrying about failing probably saved me by taking the spontaneity out it. at my darkest, i found myself researching options on the net. moment passed before i came to any decision. mainly worried about living and being all fucked up in some way. then i'd have the same life i wanted out of, just worse.
