First time going. Can anyone who has been there give me some suggestions on hotels, casinos, restaurants, etc? I can afford about $250 a night for the hotel and im planning on staying about 4 days. Thank you for any tips.

MGM Grand is my favorite and they have a great sports book
oh and pay for the day pass on the monorail if you are going casino hopping. Saves on cab fares.
If you get a cab driven by some big headed blond chick who talks funny, she will probably suck your dick for $10.
Stay from Sunday night through Thursday night and hotel rates are significantly cheaper. Better yet sign up for a Total Rewards card on the Harrah's site and stay at any Harrah's property for almost free. Make sure to checkout Red Rock Canyon a short drive from the strip and Fremont (original Downtown) is always an interesting night out.
$250 a night can get you at any good casino/hotel aside from Ceasar's Palace and the Wynn/Encore. Like Dr. Sublux said, the MGM is great but I am partial to The Mirage. Great hotel and great sportsbook. IMHO the best sports books are: MGM, Mirage, Bellagio, Mandalay Bay.

Stay at the Cosmo, party at the Wynn/Encore.
In my opinion, if you know you're going to party at a particular hotel (say party at Tryst at Wynn), then it's easiest/wisest to stay at that hotel.
On the other hand, I think it's best to stay mid-strip --- say, Mirage, Caesars or Paris for a "nicer" hotel, Harrahs or Bally's for a more affordable hotel.
The monorail's okay, but has very few stops and it's usually a long walk to the station - keep this in mind. Stops only at: MGM, Ballys (which is connected to Paris), Flamingo, Harrahs, Las Vegas Convention Centre, LVH (used to the The Hilton), and what used to be Sahara Hotel except it closed.
Also, in my opinion, do NOT stay at Planet Hollywood Hotel. I've seen the clientelle there, and you do NOT need that ....
Oh - also, if you're going clubbing, a company like Red Carpet VIP or Presidential Limo can save you a lot of hassle. Yes, it's expensive but guess what : it's going to be expensive anyway. Save yourself the hassle!

Not this thread again.
Im going for a funeral directors association meeting/show. They will be serving lunches, but as far as dinner goes i love sushi, thai, middle eastern/Indian, anything spicy. As far as clubs, I'm 36 and not into that scene anymore. Lol just wanna relax , see a show or 2 and eat really well, maybe gamble just a little bit.
