I don't get it. Right now on ESPN the GoDaddy.com bowl #25Kent State vs Arkansas State. What are they playing for? The right to be the 25th best team in college football? If you are not playing for #1 the what the hell is there to be proud of? I want to represent northern Cali and Stanford but they beat a crappy 8-5 Wisconsin team that was like #12 and would have rather seen them at least best a top 5 team.

Yes I get it that the schools get a lot of money if they go to a bowl which is great for the institution but why should I care as a fan if 2 mediocre college teams are playing in a meaningless game (assuming I didn't bet on the game). It would be like having the broncos play the falcons next week and all the other teams play bowl games. I wouldn't be so excited then.

i'm college sports fan over all the bs of pros. i go to & follow college soccer/baseball/hoops/football etc & i dont even understand the bowl system. if its advertisng, why wouldn't you do better matchups? dont get it on any level.
