Howard said Letterman should have done this interview with him, not Oprah:

"Howard said Dave Letterman and Oprah Winfrey got together. He said he can't stand that. Howard said Dave should be in there talking to him about that shit. He said it bums him out that Oprah is the one getting that. Gary said that he hasn't called to get Dave on. Howard said they call him constantly to do the show. Gary said the time he did the show Howard complained about Dave not doing the show. He came on and did it but he was bitter about it. He said he may never do the show again. Howard said he's talking to Oprah about that shit he doesn't want to talk about.

Jon said that Dave does open up from what he's seen. He said that he would rather hear it there on Howard's show though. Gary said he heard Dave on a podcast with Alec Baldwin too. He said no one is going to hear that. He said he should be on this show. Howard said he should be."

Letterman's last visit to the Stern show was on Howard's 50th birthday. Howard turns 59 on Saturday.

Letterman doesn't strike me as a happy guy… I mean say what you will about Leno, but he seems happy. He goes out and does his stand-up comedy and he has those cars to keep him entertained…
