The attorneys will have just three more opportunities to bilk Howard. First, writing the appellate brief. Second, writing the reply to Sirius' opposition to the appellate brief. Third, preparing for and attending the oral argument.

After that, the attorneys will have to talk Howard into a new lawsuit in order to get more money from him. Which may not be so difficult...

But Howard will not be able to sue Sirius again based on the same set of facts.

Howard should be grateful that Judge Kapnick granted summary judgment in favor of Sirius/XM - saved him some marbles for having to pay legal bills for an expensive trial plus more details about his greed would have become public. If he had never filed suit, no one would even know the exact amount of these bonuses that he's desperately trying to get or that the contract spelled out that "some" Fridays really meant no Fridays.

When William Shatner divorced his first wife, she was awarded 50% of all his FUTURE earnings in perpetuity. He had several alimonies and lost several fortunes. Wiggy might still have to pay Allison, regardless of whether she re-married or not.

Then you add child-support payments, which I'm sure was substantial--no less than $25,000 per kid per month, likely more.

Chimneyland is a huge money pit, and he has to pay for its upkeep, which ain't peanuts. Somebody with more brains than me could figure out what his monthly nut is, but if it's less than 4 million, I'd be surprised.

The story hit the papers on Tuesday or Wednesday, so my guess is Stern addressed it on one of those days (the 19th or 20th), or on the following Monday (April 23rd). If Howard gave the same speech to the jury they would vote unanimously against him. It's the perfect example of why people hate him, he comes across as a greedy delusional egomaniac who needs to be put in his place. He couldn't be more unlikable and undeserving of sympathy and it would be hard for a jury to ignore that, even though they're only supposed to consider the legal facts. Most of them would probably vote to give him the death penalty if they had the chance.

I think that is the major part of the problem. If you factor in all XM subscribers Howard meets his bonus level. If you only factor in those that purchased the best of Sirius in addition to XM he does not meet the bonus. Howard never addresses this point. He's avoiding it like the plague.

Not to defend Howard, but this isn't really so.
He talks about the difference but says it doesn't matter because (according to him) he's entitled to count EVERY subscriber brought in from XM because (again according to him) there would have been no merger if not for his show.
