I can control my entire iTunes library through my iPhone using Remote. It's all hooked up to my Stereo/TV via the AppleTV, which is a tiny box a little bit bigger than a hockey puck that sits behind my TV. I've been doing it for a couple years now. I love it.
Seems like a huge waste of time.

That kaleidescape thing looks pretty cool too.

You're welcome. I have one of these (an older model) and it plays everything. It doesn't matter what I throw at it. MKV, AVI, MPEG, DVD & Blu-ray ISO's... it eats it all. Put a big HDD in there and you're good to go.
Or if you really wanna go hard-core, get one of these:

and put 4 big HDD's in there. You can have over 10TB of storage that way. Hook both machines up to your home network and you're good to go.
My name was supposed to be French fries with mayo but I was drunk when I signed up.
You can also just call me "Dick".

I have had such shitty luck with my wd tv live. I finally got an Apple TV only to find out they don't support AVI files.
DBD's getting schooled in this thread.![]()
