possibly because for the most part we stopped making things here about 15 years ago? because many of the originally american branded products sold their brand names to so korean companies rather than try to compete with countries who allow their employees to work for pennies and who's middle management is recruited from the so korean military officers who retain their military pay grades although working in their "private" sector?

6 x 40B = $240B, about 1/10th of total tax revenues. I assume you mean corporate income taxes only. Still, that is a large portion.

What they market is their design for the APPEARANCE of their product.
