Reason for the photography

So I think I know why Howard is "so into" the photography. Howard desperately wants to direct a movie. He is doing the photography thing to learn about scene lighting and composition. He is taking pictures of famous people. He is hoping this will give him an in to do some directing. Just a thought but maybe something there.
