Never had In and Out. My job put's me with people from all over the country though and whenever a best burger conversation comes up, In and Out and Fatburger are the 2 places I hear about the most.

There is a place by me called DMK Burger and it is one of those "hip-gourmet" burger places and they do not allow any substitutions or changes to how the burger is made. One of my friends went there with his wife and she wanted her turkey burger on a different kind of roll and they refused so they left.

Burgers should always be made the way you want it. Especially since I hate mayo and always ask for no mayo.

Burgerville in Portland makes a killer burger. I don't know that I've had better anywhere.

I'm pretty sure they didn't let him anywhere near the cooking stations. He probably just mopped the floor and bathrooms and wiped down the tables and took about 300 smoke breaks.

I'm not all over In and out either but they are pretty good for a fast food joint plus they are cheap. I also like that they are made fresh, although they need to do something about their fries.
