These kids are fucking animals, and stooopid ones at that. Twittering it and making videos bragging about it is not smart. Looks like the city officials are distancing themselves from the case - the prosecutor recused herself for two special prosecutors appointed by the attorney general and a former judge from Hamilton County (Cincinnati) has been brought in. I hope they try thes "kids" as adults. The guy in the video doing all the bragging is appanently an 18 year old graduate who is now attending Ohio State (he's not charged with anything).

Cincinnati was actually home to the only Latin mass in the state until they moved it to Dayton. And Cleveland is the same deal, but instead of Germans and Irish it's mostly slavic eastern Europeans (Polish, Hungarian, Croatian, etc.). Columbus and it's surrounding areas are pretty well WASPy, though.
yes i live near columbus and work for a company in cleveland, but am not sure what any of this has to do with steubenville which is on the far east side of the state....i a not being facetious, i really dont understand what you are getting at?

I just found it hard to believe you didn't know about the southern and eastern parts of the state being so entrenched with Catholics, because of all the powerhouse high school football teams (and Steubenville being one half of the EWTN equation, along with Irondale, Alabama). The difference is that Cinci and Cleveland are more of your suburban, standard midwestern Catholics, and eastern Ohio is more of the rural variety (a lot of towns like St. Claire, where the Church is the tallest building). But, by the same token, I don't know much about central Ohio and Columbus either, so I guess it shows that Ohio is more diverse than people give it credit for. To put it in perspective, I maybe knew a handful of Protestants growing up, so it was the direct opposite for me.
