Some of you may be aware of this, but i haven't seen it mentioned here. in steubenville, ohio there is a rape case involving high school football players. the 16 year old girl was allegedly drugged and then taken from party to party and raped and abused in other ways such as being urinated on. two football players have been arrested, but evidence shows others were involved. there is also evidence of a coverup including the sherif, coach, parents and others. the football players have referred to themselves as the "rape crew" and there is video of some of them bragging and laughing about the rape. there are photos, including one showing two players carrying her unconscious body. in december a well known hacker group became involved after reading a ny times article. they have been releasing info on suspects as well as gathering evidence on the rape and coverup. there's a whole lot more to this, but i think i summed it up pretty well. if i didn't say allegedly enough; allegedly, allegedly, allegedly. that should take care of it. links with full details below. i grew up in the area and none of this surprises me. btw, there is a protest rally being held on the 5th in steubenville. they already held one on the 29th and despite poor whether conditions still had 300-400 show up. the one on the 5th should be bigger as this will be better organized. permit to protest in street, speakers, food, etc. i no longer live in the area and wish i could attend.

i realize what board i'm posting on and expect some joke posts and "nigger i ain't readin all that shit" pics, but i feel this needs as much awareness as possible and i respect a lot of people on this board.

ok i am glad it wasnt just me...sure, it's a human interest story and i get that, and i think its unfortunate, but i am not sure i understand the PSA thing?

I hate to sound like an old man but I swear to God the generation of kids that are 15-25 now are full on retards. They think that they can post whatever they want on social media sites and then are amazed that what they post can be used against them. This and the fucking idiots that need attention by posting videos on youtube of themselves singing or playing an instrument(badly most of the time). VHS tape is easy to erase and burns completely.

Ok I gave this some due consideration and actually read the links and watched the videos (and felt guilty for pausing at the pic of some chick in thong). Awful situation/small town cover-up. While I personally would never under any circumstances advocate vigilante justice...the options appear slim for real punishment.
