01/02 Howard said he has stopped drinking. Howard said he was told not to drink more than one drink a week..he gets club soda with Cranberry juice now. He said he's not fun and it's just over. He said it's just all over. (mf)

He must've been drinking pretty heavily to be ordered to cut it down to one drink a week. And it was probably the only thing that made him tolerable to Beth and everyone else.

I have acid reflux and take Prevacid for it. I also drink wine from time to time and it does nothing to me to cause acid. Howard is full of shit. I do agree that whisky and beer can fuck up your acid though.

It's probably just a "bit," although I can't really see the angle other than to add to Howard's continued slide away from anything remotely resembling an "everyman."

There's no doubt Artie would've called him a "fag" for this admission, especially the cranberry with club soda line...

Maybe Team Buchwald has studied the "demos" and found that Howard's new found audience of Midwestern housewives and AGT fans don't drink...

That's weird....he doesn't appear to be a big drinker, why would the dr tell him to cut his intake? I can't think of anything but impaired liver function that would come with those directions.
He must be lots of fun to live with! He's denying himself food, blow jobs, travel and now booze!

The dr likely only told him to be careful with how much he's drinking, and Howard's bizarre paranoia turned that suggestion into quick drinking for good. He also obsessed with losing weight and staying rail thin, quitting drinking is just another step to hitting his target weight

Seriously, is there a person on the planet earth whose life contains a greater disparity betweens one's means for pleasure and how much they actually experience?

Howard should have retired after 2010. With his cash he could own condos in any city of his choice and he could travel the world. He could be banging different chicks left and right, or at least afford a wife who dedicated their life to being a constant companion for him.

Instead he spends new years alone, stone cold sober and alone, depressed that his wife is off partying without him in another country.
