I wanted to bring up this topic because we all know about Bush's unfunded wars. It's become a talking point to say Bush created the deficit problem we're in.
Okay...let's look at the facts. On each fact, I will post a link. The links are to The Huffington Post....CBS News...Wikipedia....and the Federal Government. You can read the information for yourself.
Spending:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_...federal_budget.
1. Bush's last year in office total Federal Spending was 3.1 trillion dollars
2. Obama's latest total Federal Spending was 3.8 trillion dollars. That is a 22.6% increase or about $700,000,000,000 dollars.
Deficits:
1. Bush's last Deficit was $482 billion in the 2009 budget year that was inherited by Barack Obama."

2. Obama's 2012 Federal Budget Deficit was $1.089 trillion. That's a 126% increase over Bush's last deficit.

"The federal budget deficit has topped $1 trillion for a fourth straight year in 2012."

Folks....we don't have a revenue problem....we have a spending problem. There is no question about that. The President wants to raise taxes. Okay. Eliminating the Bush tax cuts for the top 2% raises $82 billion a year. That doesn't begin to cover the $700 billion increase in spending that Obama is directly responsible for....and that is after ending a war in Iraq and coming out of a recession. How can those spending increases be justified? Why doesn't the President ever talk and any meaningful spending cuts or entitlement reform since those are the problems....not a lack of revenue?
It's clear Bush added greatly to the deficit problem. It is also clear Obama has greatly increased the problem, and has done far more damage than Bush ever did. The facts speak for themselves. Those of you that don't like facts.....sorry.
