Having seen my share of tax returns over the years, most doctors & lawyers aren't making anywhere near that kind of money .... There's an immense overhead that goes along with being a practicing physician ..The bottom line is, is that EVERYONE should be paying taxes in some capacity... There are far more low income people that pay zero taxes, than there are "rich" people not paying their proverbial share ......

No you are not "rich" or a millionaire if you make $400K and spend it. But how many people do you know that make that much? Maybe lawyers and doctors and people who live in the most expensive parts to the country, but I don't know anyone personally that makes that much. $400K is 8 grand a week or $200 dollars an hour.

me personally? almost everyone i know makes that. most are dual income families, but some make more as individuals; i have a few friends who average $550/hr. i'm incredibly lazy otherwise I would be in that range too: i don't hustle anymore (i'm lucky if i start work at noon most days).

If you can't point to any way in which what Mitt did with his taxes was illegal then you have no argument. The Supreme Court already ruled that everyone has the right to pay as few taxes as is legally allowed, so if you don't like the amount someone legally paid change the laws.

You do know that you pay the same capital gains rate as the rich on your investments, your 401k, your stocks, your earned interest etc etc etc, don't you?? They just happen to have more of them because their income is higher.

right, as an individual mitt(or anyone) should pay as least as legally possible. but as a politician he should want the code to be fair so it grows the economy and pays down our debt.
