i hope so. being in the financial industry we have so many restrictions and controls to insure that we don't have insider info or other no-nos influence our trades that i almost never catch any short term trends. We even have a code of conduct rule that discourages employee personal speculations (ie, no day trading).

we're not allowed to trade from the beginning of a quarter until the day after we announce earnings for that quarter.

it's fucking insulting: always restricting the employees who represent the least risk. restrict the professional traders during this period, not the rank and file who could never be more than a casual annoyance to the market.

i already promised in writing to not cause another correction like in 1989. and anyway, the world recovered. we're still here! what more do they want from me? jesus christ! plus i already planned the Feb incident with change management. it'll be a formal correction: nothing like that one in '89.
