I almost never do. Got busted several times for it too. Twice during this current holiday season alone.

My usual go to is, "I thought of you as soon as I read it". Doesn't always work though.

    Wait for the poll.

Of course I do. But that hasn't stopped me from accidentally sending the same card to my mom twice on two separate Mother's Days.

How and why would you bother to get someone a card and then not even know what it says? I'm like Rainman if I'm buying a card, reading them all for an hour, obsessively. I feel like it's already impersonal as hell to be buying a shitty premanufactured card for someone, it might as well have some relevance.... If I have time and inspiration, I like to make up my own, personalize it....

My friend's wife sends out cards for everything. Xmas, New Year's, Valentine's, Easter, 4th of July, first day of Spring/Summer, every time their dog gets a healthy checkup at the vets, etc.

I buy the one with the prettiest picture on the front. I'm visual.

I got one (1) xmas card this year. It was from an accountant I used one time, about 4 years ago.....

Yeah actually Mrs. Vyb does that for Xmas, too. At least she doesn't do that Xmas letter thing.
