Howard Stern threatens to end Sirius XM contract years early (Video)

I’m miserable," said Stern. "I just want to tear someone’s head off...I think I’d be happier if I quit work. I think my agent said to me even though I have a five year deal here, that after the third year I could actually leave….I think I want to leave...I have to do this year and then I could get the f**k out of here…I want out.” .

Howard doesn't have the balls to walk away from marbles on the table. I want to see if Malone has the balls himself to put wiggy in his place.

it's a bluff to somehow increase his value. he's been pulling that same thing since the 90s.
you know it's not true when he says " he think his agent told him ... "

he knows for sure every word of that contract.

But at this point, I don't listen to Stern, I've tried Ellis and can't get into him, never liked O&A, etc...so more often than not, I actually find myself listening to Kidd Chris out of Cincinnati on WEBN (on FM) and turning off my satellite. I have more quality morning show content on FM than satellite, and I don't see how you can say that's sustainable.

I understand your point, but there's a ton of original content on the channels. Whether it's the music morning shows, all the morning shows on the sports channels (MLB, NFL, etc.) or some of the other talk channels, even though they may not be the same type as Stern, I don't think Sirius / XM gives a shit at this point. WHY?

The Stern show continues to lose significance (mainly because of it's reduced schedule) with every passing year. Just look at the Sirius / XM marketing campaigns which rarely even mention the Stern show anymore. Right or wrong, I don't think Sirius / XM is overly concerned about mass subscription cancellations when the Stern show ends.
