Usually not in the US. The laws against sound recording is very strict.
But video is legal.

(Outside USA most countries have it the other way. Video is strict and audio is ok)

Countries like Russia and China have the same problem, no one hardly drove except the elite when they were poor 20 years ago. Now, everyone has a new European car and they all learned to drive at the same time, as if everyone is 16 years old. Add stupidity and a lack on common sense, and you have demolition derby on every road.

Some of the snowy road shots make me cringe, I drive a new all wheel drive car, I feel safe and confident driving the wife and kids with 30 years experience and over a million miles driven. All I need is some dickhead going out of control and crossing the center divider then crossing my path.

In the last scene where you can see debris, there was a row of three seats just sitting there in lanes. I'm really surprised there weren't bodies thrown across all the lanes, from the stills, it looks like at least 10 rows were destroyed.

Looks like the plane was practically empty.

I think the story said there were only like 8 passengers on board. I think 2 people died.
