how the FBI coordinated the crackdown on Occupy

New documents prove what was once dismissed as paranoid fantasy: totally integrated corporate-state repression of dissent

It was more sophisticated than we had imagined: new documents show that the violent crackdown on Occupy last fall – so mystifying at the time – was not just coordinated at the level of the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, and local police. The crackdown, which involved, as you may recall, violent arrests, group disruption, canister missiles to the skulls of protesters, people held in handcuffs so tight they were injured, people held in bondage till they were forced to wet or soil themselves –was coordinated with the big banks themselves.

did you read the actual documents they cite? I don't see anything wrong with them other than the organizations doing what they are supposed to be doing.

I read the FBI documents. they appear to be notices of attendance to regularly scheduled meetings between the FBI, DOJ, DHS and similar agencies with the Financial industry representatives discussing approaching activities that might affect the financial companies. I didn't see anything unusual or out of the ordinary in them. The feds note their surveillance efforts, which are what those agencies are supposed to be doing. The time period is the Occupy Wall Street activities, which again is something those agencies are supposed to be investigating. I saw no mention of anything bad. The organization promoting the papers as being bad, is upset that the FBI documents are heavily redacted, but it is obvious that the information removed is people's names and addresses that attended the meetings. The privacy laws require that the govt not provide personal information, so the redaction is legally required.Unless they have something more substantial, this looks like a smear campaign.

We need the feds to be non-existent per some....oh, but still as strong and powerful as possible during a GOP run White-House.
