I just played through Far Cry 3

In short:

• Fun as hell to play.
• Beautiful graphics (on PC at least)
• Lame and cliché story and some likable characters die totally unnecessary
• Two possible endings. One ending kinda sucks, the other one really sucks (just like part 2)
• I liked part 2 better as a whole

Buying advice: buy it once the price drops a little bit. It's a great game, but I wouldn't pay 60 bucks for it if I knew what it was gonna be like beforehand.

Nice, I've been thinking about getting it but now will definitley wait until the price drops. I found my N64 unpacking boxes the other day and have been messing around with Golden Eye again...man it suck in comparison to games now but it does have that nostalgia

Yep. The Super Nintendo/Sega Genesis 2D sidescrollers hold up incredibly well, though. Sonic 2 is still as fun as ever and it even looks pretty impressive.

Great game. First one is still the best though.

I haven't played that one in a long time...the last game I played was Final Fantasy VII that I downloaded from psn...still pretty fun, just don't have the time to play them like I used to

Yep, also played through it all the way. Fun game, but it's kinda like all the previous ones. Very polished, though. Some of the characters are really cartoony and goofy, which is weird because most parts of the game are really serious and dark.

Yeah, they were pretty unlikable. I thought the main character's voice sounded kinda like Christian Bale in his angry rant.
