Hikikomori (ひきこもり or 引き籠もり Hikikomori?, literally "pulling inward, being confined", i.e., "acute social withdrawal") is a Japanese term to refer to the phenomenon of reclusive adolescents or young adults who withdraw from social life, often seeking extreme degrees of isolation and confinement. The term hikikomori refers to both the sociological phenomenon in general as well as to people belonging to this societal group.

Myself ,Ryan Lever, Schmoopy and Dark Friday are definitely in this category. and alot of you are displaying symptoms of it. Even Spash the social supposedly nice job guy is on here constantly and even wanting to choose to post here and stay in as to wanting to be with his sister on Christmas . we ALL really need to take a good look at ourselves and address some of these problems for the New year If we want to be better people with more meaningful lives
1. The person does not take part in society and remains at home.
2. The person does not take part in or have interest in going to school or work.
3. The person does not have any close relationships other than with family.
4. The withdrawal is not a symptom of a psychotic disorder.
5. These symptoms persist for at least six months.
