Old news: Robin is dying/IRS and panic sold her Staten Island home...

I guess that Robin had to pay a bunch of money in the plea bargain agreement with IRS for the 15foundation (alleged) scam

    http://www.silive.com/news/index.ssf...islanders.html

Bought the home for 2.65 million and sold for 1.1 million. Only a desperate person would do that.

She cut the original $2.65 million asking price to $1.3 million, Laird said. She accepted the final offer of $1.1 million because of "legal issues the new buyer was willing to take on."

Can someone sum up the IRS stuff for me? I never heard about that back at SFN, although I quit posting around 2008 when they shut down my account and just found this place.

I will laugh my ass off if Florentine ends up being worth more than her.

Perhaps she had shit done to the property without proper permits? Or she could be back on her property taxes which the buyer would be liable for. Whole host of shit "legal" issues can entail when dealing with property in the part of the country.

the area in Staten Island where she had her house is a wealthy area, Todt Hill. All the houses are million dollar homes, why would she sell for so less

I'm thinking construction liens from nonpayment of contractors..I've read NY contractors rape celebrities. Didn't the hamptons estate have problems as well as artie's, and even the wig's apartment with the sound system and rattling air conditioning?

This explanation sounds the most realistic.

Liens, permits or taxes were my first thought too.

A relative of mine had a house in that area. They sold it for a lot less than the wanted. It was on the market for well over a year. the housing market is just a mess

but I am really happy that Obese Quivers experienced despair and anguish
