I rather they ask as well, and many still do. All I am saying is that I have a friend who worked for Visa and she told me that. Oh, and also it is against the agreement for a merchant to set a minimum purchase amount.

There aren't any beatings. With the current environment in my city if a "perp" wants to resist or fight then they can go about their business with no threat from me. We were told in rollcall that we aren't to chase anyone anymore for anything. Nice. Our supervisors are so afraid right now I have no confidence that I can do my job properly without getting hung out to dry for something. I'm probably being a bit dramatic......I'll still do my job but I'm not looking for any extra drama that's for sure.

As far as the paperwork......tv/movies overdramatize it. I can do 95% of my reports in less than 1/2 hour from my 1st contact with the incident. Things get more complicated in some arrest, where you have to fight with someone, actual rapes, abuse cases, etc. I've had some reports take me 6 hours but those were pretty fucked up situations with loads of evidence.

The security department of my bank called this morning and said someone had tried to use my credit card to make purchases today. They must have stolen it out of the mail, it had not been activated yet so they caught it. I'm impressed with this Mormon bank. A few years ago Bank of America sent some criminal in a different state new checks and cards in my name. Total retards. The Bank of America incident turned out to be an inside job.

They did that just to see if it worked.

Don't use ATM's that are not from a bank. period, uless like at a casino or other legit business.

Sometimes they put fake covers, but they would have swiped your card or not given you the ATM cash, and other's have card readers inside to swipe your info.

Hopefully you contacted your bank. They prolly have your pin too so change it.
