she says it sounds like a skin tag. which is benign(meaning non cancerous) when the dog gets fixed and its under anesthesia they can cut it off and put a stitch in it. pretty quick procedure.
I asked her about it possibly being what you thought it was Mack and she said that Mange is a burrowing mite so it would be under the skin and you can only see the mite Microscopically .If it was Mange it wold be a scab or pustule not a bump.![]()

The $30 shampoo is nothing more then Selsun Blue you can buy in any grocery store.
Change his diet stay away from commercial dog food too many preservatives. I found the Solid Gold products work well.
Flack seed oil two teaspoons mixed with cottage cheese every morning is great for the skin.

I'm sure it's mange. I guess it's very common for Blue Noses.

FWIW, the spot is almost grey when not lit up by a flash. Crazy how the flash brings out the brindle. Look at his leg and muzzle... that's his "normal" color.
