Obama State Of The Union Address: President Reportedly Threatened To Blame Reps

"Mr. Obama repeatedly lost patience with the speaker as negotiations faltered. In an Oval Office meeting last week, he told Mr. Boehner that if the sides didn't reach agreement, he would use his inaugural address and his State of the Union speech to tell the country the Republicans were at fault."

President Barack Obama was reportedly so frustrated with House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) during fiscal cliff negotiations this week, he threatened to blame Republicans in a very public setting.

When Boner can't even get a consensus about a million dollar tax threshold, you can see how far apart the crazy right Republicans are.

It will take Boner to swing some Republicans with common sense to team up with Democrats to get anything passed.

Grover Norquist, whose entire career is literally based on the principle that Republicans cannot compromise on raising taxes under any circumstance, is upset That Obama has ‘not been negotiating’

and by negotiating of course he means give in to every one of their demands.

    Grover Norquist once said that
"bipartisanship is another name for date rape". Somehow I doubt that he and his followers are willing to negotiate in good faith. besides the republicans shot down THEIR OWN PLAN. I don't know why anyone would expect the president to step forward with a new compromise after that.

And what's the Dem plan again. Billions in pretend cuts in exchange for a few trillion in spending and no debt cap. Wow ... just wow!

Well wait, did you call out the "Billions in pretend cuts" in the Paul Ryan plan, Romney plans (well, whatever we could muster from one), and well....the so-called plans from Boner?

Or is this another "Dems want pretend cuts but our pretend cuts are REAL! So real that we wont say them until AFTER!"
