I saw JACK REACHER and liked it... did anybody else see it?

i don't know if i'm going to see it. i read the reviews of the books and they are so dramatically different that i can't tell if the people who like it wrote their reviews after hearing that Cruise got the rights to the movie.

If you go to the movies to escape for a couple hours, go see this one. Keeps moving and Cruise plays the role well. The blonde is a little abrasive at first, but redeems herself.

I have read all the Reacher books and a midget with a belief in scientology playing that character is a huge miss. Fuck Tom Cruise.

Are the books worth checking out? I would much rather read the books than see the movie.

He's one of those people that I can't see as a character anymore...he's just Tom Cruise. It's the same way for me now with Angelina Jooooolee.

Aside from being a foot too short and 100+ pounds too light, I think Cruise looks a little too clean and polished for a guy who is basically homeless and travels with little more than a folding toothbrush.

The books are good, fun reads. Reacher's a reluctant hero. He comes to down, sees something fucked up, kicks a lot of ass, gets laid, then, with his work done, skips town. What red blooded american dude wouldn't wanna do the same?

Women have their cheap romance novels, men have this sorta stuff. Similar to the Mitch Rapp books by Vince Flynn except Reacher kicks everyone's ass, Rapp concentrates on terrorists. These books are guilty pleasures but the best pleasures usually have some guilt attached.
