Thu 12/20/2012 Special: Day 4 of Howard Stern's TV Cast Special Listening Thread

    Howard Stern's TV Cast Special

This week on Howard 100 & Howard 101, Howard Stern's TV Cast Special reunites some of the most popular TV casts in pop culture history. Thanks to the King Of All Media's massive tape archive, this special collects memorable behind-the-scenes stories as told by the cast members themselves. TV expert and "Jump The Shark" founder Jon Hein hosts the virtual radio reunion from the most popular casts of all-time including Cheers, Seinfeld, Happy Days, Star Trek, Beverly Hills 90210, In Living Color, Friends, Brady Bunch, ER, Baywatch, The Cosby Show and more. Hear Woody Harrelson, George Wendt and John Ratzenberger share their favorite stories from Cheers... Jamie Foxx, David Alan Grier and Tommy Davidson talk about fellow In Living Color cast mate Jim Carrey and his rise to superstardom... Ron Howard, Henry Winkler, Anson Williams and Erin Moran reveal secrets from the set of Happy Days plus George Takei, Walter Koenig and James Doohan dish the dirt on their Star Trek captain William Shatner. Other interviews include backstage stories from Jerry Seinfeld, Heather Locklear, Bob Denver, John Stamos, George Clooney, David Schwimmer, Shannen Doherty, Pamela Anderson and many more.

Howard Stern’s TV Cast Special premieres on Monday December 17, 2012 exclusively on Howard 100, Howard 101 and online at siriusxm.com.

This must be an all Jon Hein production.
Only a zero like Hein would think everyone would instantly know the voices of cast members from 30 year old shows. They jump from short shit clip to short shit clip. If you blink you have no idea who is talking. By the time you figure out who is talking they have moved on to the next clip.

Fucking assholes at HTV do something similar with the video. They flash shit on the screen and then go to some reaction shot from Wiggy and in the mean time you miss what you wanted to see. It's infuriating.

I listened to his interview of George Wendt for about 30 seconds this morning. Howard was slamming Shelley Long for being a diva and leaving Cheers. I thought, that happened 25 years ago so who the fuck cares? I switched to WFAN and that was that.

I listened sporatically. I have to agree with the editing. Horrendous. No set ups for half the clips. No way of knowing who is who unless you recognize the voice.

I thought there were some good clips for the late 80s, early 90s, and 00s. But it shows how in recent interviews how Howard has gotten really lazy with his interviews.

Also, the Star Trek clips were horrible. I mean one or two of the best clips of cast members trashing Shatner and the Shatner pretending he doesn't know what Howard is talking about when he says the rest of the cast hates him would be good, but two whole segments?
