Next time don't buy korean shit.
Link's fine bro. Every Galaxy S2/3 has a fucking hole in it.
I had an Android for close to 2 years (until Jan 2012) and then I installed an app from Google Play (I don't run warez shit) and the app was malware and it stole my passwords, email and my banking & CC info. I had no idea. A week after I installed it, I got a call from my bank and VISA saying there's irregular activities on my accounts. I checked and sure enough, there was thousands of $ worth of transactions I had nothing do with. Luckily, bank caught it early and my losses weren't big. CC company reversed all the charges but it took me months to get all of my money from the bank (it was fucking scary though).
I tracked the stuff to a fucking Android app that rooted the phone, installed keylogger and stole everything off my phone! That day I fucking got rid of the Android phone.
I will never use another Android phone. NEVER! It's a platform FULL of malware.

Fuck Android, fuck Google and fuck Samsung. Never again.Approximately 85% of all mobile malware attacks since 2011 occurred on Android smartphones.

I second the Waze app. If you drive a lot it's the best navigation app out there. It's crowd sourced which means the users edit the maps and report issues such as police, accidents, road closures, etc on the routes you travel. I'm currently ranked in the top 60 on Waze and am an Area Manager. Have any questions about it, just ask.
First I've heard of this. Please provide link(s) to support this. Personally I serious doubt this claim as within the app itself it shows the bandwidth usage of the app on a daily basis. Today I used 361 bytes of data using waze while driving 236 miles. If Waze took pictures or audio and transmitted it while using only 361 bytes of data your theory is full of shit. Again, please provide links.
I just checked the app in the play store, (I don't use it).
On clicking "install" from the play store, the "permissions" do indeed state ..
"Hardware controls, change your audio settings, record audio, take pictures."
On my galaxy, you can verify this in "setting", "applications", "manage applications", then click on waze (or any app) and see it's permissions.
Edit, the app may use these functions and be legit. Looking at this list, I think the warnings are for all apps that use audio recording and take pictures.
Oh and fuck you for the reactionary butt hurt reply Mr area manager![]()

Ahh, ok, so you are the paranoid type. The audio settings are to allow custom audio profiles. I have the "elvis" profile for navigation voice. one of many voices available. The part to allow pictures is an option that when you report police, accidents, heavy traffic, etc you can actually take a photo to attach to the report. What are you hiding that you are afraid to take a photo or let Elvis tell you directions?
