That letter would piss me off too. I don't like "the system" thinking it knows what's best for me and how I should handle things BUT, ultimately, I think the intentions weren't awful so after an initial tirade I'd likely just let it go rather than sending one of my Tumor Claus letters in return.

That's not how it happened. He stayed and drank beer at the job-site, which happened to be his buddy's house that day, and not on the time card. If you wish to revel in my misery, I'll thank you to get the details right.
I tried SO HARD to explain to my brother last night why that letter bugged me so much - but I couldn't really figure out why. Your point is another excellent one.
I won't be sending anything in return. I won't be getting any "services" either. I'll talk to my boys. And shove the letter into the garbage.
