This. I'd love to see Jackie back on the THSS. A lot of the fun and funny Jackie brought to the show revolved around his crazy life and not his comedic writing ability.

This +1. People make it out to be the end of the world when he left, but with the departure of Artie and Jackie, the realization is that Wiggy needed a third voice badly lest the show go to shit. Which it has.

And by third voice, i mean someone funny or at least entertaining on a personal level. Which doesnt include Shuli.

I like this Jackie. Seems very down to earth in this vid.
Jackie seems like one of the more normal guys from the Stern universe.

I think Jackie let the $50k botch the deal because the show was really hurting him.

Howard encourages an unhealthy work-environment. So bad, a guy on the show making a ton stabbed himself in the belly.

It's no coincidence Jackie gave up the booze and is happy after Stern.

I asked Jackie in an email a few months back about what he'd like to do. He wants back in studio and would a do a week free to prove how good it could be.
The above statement is being made of my own free will. This site neither condones nor agrees to anything I post but for my right to post what I feel.

    I agree with Jackie.

Why not let him try a "week" (more like 3 days) in the studio for free?

At this point it's childish of Fred or Robin or Howard, or all of them, to block such a thing. These people are all late 50's, early 60's. Time to grow up.

Even though Fred and Robin have always opposed bringing Jackie back on the show it's really Howard's decision. I would love to see Jackie back in the studio if only for the endless ball busting he would get but I don't see it ever happening.

With Howard's reinvention of his "brand", 99% of Jackie's jokes wouldn't work on the show now.

Also, Jackie is apparently sober now, which removes any possibility of tales of drunken debauchery and shenanigans.

And there's no Nanci now, either.

But despite all that, Jackie could still provide an invaluable service to the show: busting on Booey. That monkey fuck's ego has been running rampant for far too long.

Also, busting on Gary is basically the last corner Howard hasn't talked himself into; it's almost the last comedic option left to him. Who better to exploit that option than Jackie?!?

    Nobody.

Yet it will still never happen.

    a. howard isnt done punishing jackie for leaving him
    b. howard cant take a chance on the show being 'better than ever' because it would prove the greatness of jackie and him and fred did need jackie
    c. howard doesnt care if the show sucks. if he knew working 1 extra minute would make the show great again, hed use that minute instead to take pics of the amazing one

(i know you know all this, but its therapeutic for me to type it)

Never happen. The last thing any of them want in that studio is Jackie who told thr truth about the people that worked there. The completely out of control egos that work in that place now could never handle it. Starting with the arrogant monkey who has benefited the most from Jackies absence. Jackie used to keep that fuckwit in check. The day Jackie left the Booey ego started getting out of control and is still growing.
