Came across this old interview with Mark Wahlberg, from 2001. Good Lord, Howard couldn't stop salivating over him. Even says about a hundred times that if he were gay, Mark would be the type of guy he'd be into. Of course he also makes sure to say "I'm not gay", but you know...




When you guys were writing about Howard saying that he wants a really hot guy sitting next to him on AGT, I thought you guys were taking it out of context, and it was in the midst of Howard putting Howie down for being ugly or something. But no, you guys were totally right with your reactions! Howard really did say it completely out of nowhere.


It's like he can't control his urges anymore. That Miss America passage was close to the smoking gun, IMO. The part about how being gay is immaturity, and wanting to run away from having the responsibilities of taking care of your family. I've never heard of it spoken of that way before. So the fact that Howard put that much thought and "insight" into it, tells me that those were his feelings, and he struggled with it.
